Don Julio tequila started in 1942. It all began when Don Julio González took a risk of requesting a loan to pursue his vision. Then he opened his distillery (“La Primavera”) in the Highlands of Jalisco. Planting the agave distant apart, Don Julio González only selected the best quality to produce sweet agave. His passion for the craft revolutionized how tequila is made. Thus, producing the world’s first luxury tequila.
