The brand’s journey began when Frank Epperson, the 11 years old boy, left a cup filled with powdered soda, water, and a stirring stick on his porch in 1905. It had been a cold night, and Epperson had a frozen pop when he awoke the next morning. It was named the 'Epsicle' by him.

It was a success with his classmates and, later, with his children. They were constantly requesting 'Pop's'sicle.' So it was in 1923.
