These potato balls are a new way to serve our traditional Lebanese Baked Potato. Each ball bursts with a spicy, sweet, and nutty flavor and is dipped in a crunchy coating

  • 4 Big potatoes
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. milk powder
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 500g ground meat
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 1 bay leaf
  • ½ tsp all spice
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. toasted nuts
  • A handful of raisins
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Garnish
  • Green herbs

    Wash the potatoes well, place in a pot with the garlic clove and boil until tender

    Meanwhile sautee the onions in a little oil until translucent, add the ground meat and bay leaf and keep stirring until well cooked. Season with the spices and salt to taste. Remove from heat and add nuts, raisins and set aside

    Peel the boiled potatoes and the garlic clove, add salt, mustard, milk, butter and mash well until you reach a smooth texture

    Take about 2 Tbsp. of the mashed potatoes and stuff with the meat/ onion mixture and roll as a ball

    Roll each stuffed ball in the breadcrumbs until well coated

  • 6

    Butter a baking dish and place the potato balls next to each other

  • 7

    Bake in a preheated oven for 10 minutes at 200c and then broil the top

  • 8

    After baking, garnish with green herbs

  • 9

    Serve with fresh green salad
