Kilbeggan
Kilbeggan Distillery is the oldest licensed distillery in Ireland, dating back to 1757. Beautifully situated on the River Brosna in Kilbeggan, County Westmeath, the Distillery has a long and colourful history. Due to financial hardship, the distillery closed in 1954. However, with the support of the local community, the buildings were repaired and reopened in 1982. In 2007, whiskey was once again produced on the site. Today, visitors can experience a fully operational, traditional Irish pot still whiskey distillery with various whiskey experiences & masterclasses to choose from.
